About me
I've told stories on everything from a piece of fabric to six-time Olympic medalist Sunisa Lee. Whether I'm reporting from a press box, school board meeting or out in the field, I'd run through a wall to get the story (not literally). My work was published in the Minnesota Star Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio, Minnesota Daily, Mesabi Tribune, Eden Prairie Local News and St. Anthony Park Bugle. I've also worked with CBS News Minnesota to produce multimedia content.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a degree in Journalism and minors in Political Science and Leadership. I'm also part of the Minnesota Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
I grew up in Elgin, Illinois, before coming to Minneapolis for school. My experience creating news packages for South Elgin High School's newscast fostered a passion for storytelling. I applied to my college news publication, the Minnesota Daily, after my freshman year of college and was assigned to be the lead beat writer for Gophers volleyball and basketball. I held that role for two years before becoming the paper's sports editor my senior year.
Let's Chat
If you're ever game to talk about a game, I'll listen. But if sports aren't your forte, I'll still chat about news, movies, music or debate whether a hot dog is a sandwich (it's not).
